Families

Most children thrive when they have routines and structure.(Centre on PBIS; Centre for Parent and Information Resources, 2020)

If your child’s school has Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) you can adjust the Home Matrix to match the expectations and behaviours with their school. Remember, not all school behaviours apply at home and different ones may be needed. To do this parents, families and carers can discuss the behaviours you would like to see in the home with your children. When completed it is important to post the Home Matrix in a visible place to be seen easily for all.

Once the behaviours have been decided it is important to teach, remind and reward your child.
